Softball Recap: Moreno Valley Find Success

Moreno Valley's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lakeside Lancers by a score of 11-8. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their two-run performance the match before.

Mia Licon was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Miramontes, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

The victory got Moreno Valley back to even at 9-9. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Coming up, Moreno Valley will challenge Citrus Hill at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeside, they will face off against Rancho Verde at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight.
