Basketball Game Preview: Holton Wildcats vs. Sabetha Bluejays

The Holton Wildcats will take on the Sabetha Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Monday, Holton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-43 to Osage City. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Indians are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Sabetha came up short against Hiawatha on Tuesday, falling 54-32. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Red Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Holton's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Sabetha, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Everything came up roses for Holton against Sabetha when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 40-11 victory. Will Holton repeat their success, or does Sabetha have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
