Baseball Recap: Perry Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Perry and Hoover had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Vikings 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Perry pushed their record up to 11-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Hoover, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Coming up, Perry will head out to face off against Wooster at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Generals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hoover, they will host Twinsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.8, the Tigers 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
