Basketball Game Preview: West Liberty Comets vs. Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks

West Liberty and Mid-Prairie are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The West Liberty Comets will square off against the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

West Liberty lost 54-34 to Tipton on Tuesday. The Comets have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Mid-Prairie took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 65-20 win over West Branch. The Golden Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 26 points or more this season.

West Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Mid-Prairie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

West Liberty opened the new year with a less-than-successful 66-58 loss to Mid-Prairie. Can West Liberty avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
