Soccer Game Preview: Center Point-Urbana vs. Anamosa

The Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers will take on the Anamosa Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Center Point-Urbana will be strutting in after a win while Anamosa will be coming in after a loss.

Seven must be Center Point-Urbana's lucky number: they beat Grinnell with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Stormin' Pointers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 7-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Center Point-Urbana, who have now won three matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Anamosa had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to Maquoketa.

The win got Center Point-Urbana back to even at 3-3. As for Anamosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Center Point-Urbana's way against Anamosa in their previous meeting back in May of 2018, as Center Point-Urbana made off with an 8-2 victory. Will the Stormin' Pointers repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
