Basketball Recap: Deep Creek Falls Short Against Ranked Bullis

Deep Creek is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Bullis. The Deep Creek Hornets came up short against the Bullis Bulldogs, falling 67-45.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Morgan Herbert, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kimora Hinton, who had nine points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Ivanna Manyacka was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 15 boards for Bullis. The dominant performance also gave Manyacka a new career-high in assists (five). Another player making a difference was Meghan Yarnevich, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Deep Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Bullis, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Deep Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-28 win against Ravenscroft on the 28th. As for Bullis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 77-58 victory against Mallard Creek on the 28th.
