Soccer Game Preview: Hampton vs. Bruton

The Hampton Crabbers are taking a road trip to face off against the Bruton Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hampton fell victim to Lafayette and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rams, falling 9-0. The Crabbers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bruton took on Tabb on Tuesday. Bruton skirted past Tabb 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Brody McHenry, who's now up to two this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Bruton and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Hampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
