Baseball Game Preview: Idalou Wildcats vs. Tulia Hornets

For the second straight game, Idalou will face off against Tulia. The Wildcats will welcome the Hornets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Idalou has ten straight wins, Tulia has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Idalou is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Tulia with a sharp 12-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 15 games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Tulia's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Abeyta, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Idalou pushed their record up to 21-5-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tulia, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11-1.
