Michigan head coach John Beilein dipped into the Lone Star State on Wednesday for a commitment from Top 50 prospect Jalen Wilson of Guyer (Denton, Texas).

Wilson made the announcement via Twitter with a creative video.
A 6-foot-7 small forward, Wilson averaged 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game as a junior at Guyer during the 2017-18 season. Teaming with Oklahoma pledge De'Vion Harmon, the duo led the Wildcats to a 38-2 record and the Class 6A Region 1 final.

As a sophomore, Wilson put up similar numbers (16.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game) as Guyer went 25-6. The Wildcats will be among the state title favorites in Texas next season and a lock for preseason national Top 25 status.

247Sports has Wilson pegged as the No. 34 overall prospect in the Class of 2019. Baylor, Kansas, Marquette, Oklahoma State and UCLA were among his other offers and players in his recruitment.
