Softball Recap: Woodville Comes Up Short

Woodville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-0 to the Valley Head Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 last Thursday.

Woodville's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Valley Head, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Looking ahead, Woodville will challenge Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Head will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Geraldine at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. Valley Head is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
