Basketball Recap: Meadow Bridge Comes Up Short

Meadow Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 88-34 loss at the hands of the Man Hillbillies.

Trey Ward was nothing short of spectacular for Man: he went 9 of 14 en route to 19 points in addition to six boards and six steals. Ward is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Landon Cantrell was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Meadow Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Man, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Meadow Bridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 85-27 defeat against Gilmer County on the 18th. As for Man, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-45 victory against Tolsia on the 22nd.
