San Ysidro had won seven straight home games and Vida Sanchez did her part to make it eight on Thursday. The Cougars claimed a resounding 60-6 win over the Mar Vista Mariners thanks in part to Sanchez, who threw for 214 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.2% of her passes, and also rushed for 44 yards and one score. She has been hot recently, having posted five or more passing touchdowns the last three times she's played.

San Ysidro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Isabella Guzman and Rhiane Fadriquela. Guzman got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

San Ysidro's record now sits at 11-4. As for Mar Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
