D6 District 4 (6 Man) Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

A Season-Best Effort from Kreyton Wiese Leads Wauneta-Palisade over Southwest

Wauneta-Palisade came up short on Friday despite Kreyton Wiese delivering his best game to date. Wiese rushed for 253 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (114.8) per game. He is becoming a predictor of Wauneta-Palisade's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Wauneta-Palisade is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. Wiese and Wauneta-Palisade will face off against Wallace at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Wins 18th-Straight Thanks to Maddox Jones

Maddox Jones's big game helped extend Sumner-Eddyville-Miller's winning streak to 18 on Friday. Paxton had no answer to Jones as he rushed for 103 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries.

Jones must have Paxton's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Jones saw the Tigers), he rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns.

Jacob Barber was a major factor in Southwest's victory over Wauneta-Palisade on Friday. Barber did his part (and then some), rushing for 64 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 94 receiving yards for the 'W'.

On the year, Barber has averaged 33.8 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.67 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 77.5 rushing yards.

Jordan Scoville Dazzles in Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Win

Jordan Scoville was instrumental in extending Sumner-Eddyville-Miller's winning streak to 18 on Friday. Scoville was dynamite, rushing for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.

Scoville must have Paxton's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Scoville rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Southwest Gets a Boost from Billeter in 41-39 Win

The second Southwest player making an appearance here is Houston Billeter, and for good reason. He threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

Billeter and Southwest will challenge Sumner-Eddyville-Miller at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Billeter will face off against Chance Daake, the Mustangs' star signal caller. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
