Basketball Recap: Castlewood Comes Up Short

Castlewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Eastside Spartans, falling 82-30. The Blue Devils lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 67-49 score last time.

Castlewood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Eastside, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Castlewood will take on Tazewell at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastside has already played their next contest (against Lee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
