Volleyball Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Capistrano Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Western Christian Fighting Lancers, falling 3-0. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fighting Lancers earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Capistrano Valley Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Western Christian's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-22.

Capistrano Valley Christian's offense was headlined by Faith Williams and Katelyn Metz, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Megan Keena and her six assists. Hope Van Rensselear controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Capistrano Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18-1. As for Western Christian, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Capistrano Valley Christian and Western Christian will both be playing Pacifica Christian the next time they take the court. The Fighting Lancers will head out to face the Tritons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
