Basketball Recap: Era Hornets vs. Ponder Lions
Era lost a close one when they played on Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Saturday was a bit more commanding. They took a blow against the Ponder Lions, falling 62-31. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Era's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ponder, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Era will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Saint Jo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ponder, they will square off against Aubrey at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aubrey knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Ponder likes a good challenge.
