Basketball Recap: Palmer Ridge Comes Up Short

Palmer Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fruita Monument Wildcats.

Palmer Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Fruita Monument, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmer Ridge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Falcon at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. After both having extra time off, Fruita Monument and Lakewood will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Fruita Monument is facing Lakewood at the right time seeing as Lakewood is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
