Softball Recap: Paxon School For Advanced Studies Comes Up Short

After flying high against First Coast last Tuesday, Paxon School For Advanced Studies came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Baldwin Indians on Wednesday, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost nine in a row.

Paxon School For Advanced Studies' defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Baldwin, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paxon School For Advanced Studies will venture away from home to take on Wolfson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baldwin, they will head out to challenge Atlantic Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.4, the Stingrays 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
