Bernards has gone a perfect 5-0 against Governor Livingston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mountaineers will look to defend their home field against the Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. Bernards is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Bernards is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since November 2, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 win over Summit.

Meanwhile, Governor Livingston came up short against Voorhees on Saturday and fell 21-14. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Governor Livingston saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Elijah Garcia rushed for 148 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Those 148 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Garcia.

Bernards' victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Governor Livingston, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Bernards against Governor Livingston when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-7 win. Will the Mountaineers repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
