Baseball Recap: High Point Baptist Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, High Point Baptist Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Shalom Christian Academy Flames by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Bradon Howe was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Howe was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of High Point Baptist Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 10-1 (and 4-6-1 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Landon Richard was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Blaise Perrone, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

High Point Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 14-7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Shalom Christian Academy, they moved to 9-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither High Point Baptist Academy nor the Flames have any future games scheduled.
