Baseball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-8. They fell 6-2 to the Issaquah Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 on Monday.

As for Issaquah, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 4-7 Newport - Bellevue and 5-8 Skyline (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 39.5% over those games).

For Issaquah's part, they let Joe Foss and Chase Stepan run wild. Foss went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Stepan went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Foss a new career-high.

Skyline didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Newport - Bellevue on the 17th. As for Issaquah, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Hazen on the 17th.
