Benicia is 8-2 against Alhambra since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Alhambra took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Benicia, who comes in off a win.
Benicia is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Acalanes 17-0 on Tuesday. The Panthers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26, 2024 (when they won 22-2).
Alana Robinson made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Kaity Nichols was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Rojas, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Benicia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Alhambra couldn't beat Clayton Valley Charter on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Ugly Eagles by a score of 6-5. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Ugly Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
Mia Brady made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Juliana Carranza was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.
Alhambra's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Benicia, their record is now an identical 12-9.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Benicia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Alhambra struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Benicia came out on top in a nail-biter against Alhambra in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
