Volleyball Recap: McDonald Comes Up Short

McDonald lost against Crestview back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Blue Devils lost 3-0 to the Rebels. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While McDonald ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-19.

Despite the loss, McDonald still got an impressive performance from Miley Titus, who had 17 digs and two aces. Titus is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Ava Gallo also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

McDonald's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Crestview, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Coming up, McDonald will be playing in front of their home fans against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crestview, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Southeast on the 18th.
