Softball Recap: Edgewood Mustangs vs. North Putnam Cougars

Edgewood put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They never let the North Putnam Cougars onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win was nothing new for Edgewood as they're now sitting on three straight.

ALLY BLAND made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. BLAND has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 25 consecutive pitching appearances. BLAND was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and a double.

In other batting news, AVA LAROCHE was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and a double. PIPER STEPHENS was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

On North Putnam's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailee Daigle, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base.
