Long Beach Poly has gone a perfect 9-0 against Lakewood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Jackrabbits will face off against the Lancers at 5:30 p.m. Lakewood took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Long Beach Poly, who comes in off a win.

Long Beach Poly not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Woodrow Wilson. The win continues a trend for the Jackrabbits in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to California.

While Lakewood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-16.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Long Beach Poly, their victory bumped their record up to 29-8.

Long Beach Poly took their win against Lakewood in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jackrabbits since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
