Volleyball Recap: Omro Comes Up Short

Omro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valders Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Foxes of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Omro ultimately came up short, they really made Valders work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 29-27.

Addison Larsen paced Omro's offense, picking up seven kills. Larsen got some help from Kira Button and her six assists.

Omro's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Valders, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7.

Omro has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Denmark on the 27th. As for Valders, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Florence on the 27th.
