Volleyball Recap: Willows Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Willows Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18.

Maria Paschall paced Willows Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Paschall got some help from Clare Gannon and her 15 assists. Finally, Paschall was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Willows Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Willows Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Chicago University at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
