East Central's loss came about despite a quality game from Cartavious Myers, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Howard, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Pearl River Central didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Gautier on Friday, but they still walked away with a 46-40 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pearl River Central.
The last time East Central won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost four straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Pearl River Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
