Softball Recap: Laguna Hills Takes a Loss

Laguna Hills was the 6-1 winner over Valencia when they last played one another back in February of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Laguna Hills lost 17-2 to Valencia on Friday. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Laguna Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caitlyn Evans, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Samira Bones Lopez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Laguna Hills' record now sits at 1-6. As for Valencia, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Looking ahead, Laguna Hills is taking a road trip to challenge Dana Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valencia, they will take on Warren in a tournament on Saturday.
