After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wayzata, Moorhead was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the St. Michael-Albertville Knights 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spuds have posted since April 26, 2024.
Kenadi Kays spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
