Volleyball Recap: Park Tudor Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Park Tudor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Irvington Preparatory Academy on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Park Tudor easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16.

Sam McGuinness paced Park Tudor's offense, picking up nine kills. McGuinness got some help from Lizzy Xu and her six assists. Xu was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Park Tudor now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Park Tudor and Irvington Preparatory Academy will both be playing Providence Cristo Rey the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Wolves at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Irvington Preparatory Academy will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
