Basketball Recap: Lincoln-Way East's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lincoln-Way East can now relate to. They took a 74-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rich Township Raptors on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (58), the Griffins still had to take the loss.

Rich Township's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Al Brooks, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 18 points along with eight boards and three steals. Brooks is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nyshawn Turner, who shot 67% from the field en route to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Lincoln-Way East's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Rich Township, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Lincoln-Way East nor Rich Township have any future games scheduled.
