Basketball Recap: Marengo Falls Short of Mcintosh in the Playoffs

Marengo and McIntosh squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Marengo had to settle for second. They lost to the McIntosh Demons on the road by a 62-43 margin. The Panthers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Leading McIntosh to victory were Chauncey Dixon and Zoie Miller. Dixon dropped a double-double on 20 points and 34 boards, while Miller went 9 for 13 to rack up 22 points and four steals. Dixon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 24 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marley Dixon, who posted six points and five assists.

Marengo's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for McIntosh, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-7.

As of now, neither Marengo nor McIntosh have any future games scheduled.
