Flag Football Game Preview: Central Valley Hawks vs. McClatchy Lions + Official Tickets

The Central Valley Hawks will square off against the McClatchy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Central Valley 11.9, McClatchy 12.2) so any points scored will be well earned.

Central Valley is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since August 24, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Ceres by a score of 21-19. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Central Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Jocelyn Rivera, Ruby Medina, and Mekenzie Buenrostro.

Meanwhile, McClatchy entered their tilt with Antelope on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Titans 27-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Titans are ranked 86th).

Central Valley's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for McClatchy, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.
