Baseball Recap: Smiths Station Comes Up Short

Smiths Station was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Beauregard Hornets. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

Smiths Station's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Beauregard, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Beauregard beat Smiths Station by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.
