Volleyball Recap: Sneads Find Success + How To Watch

Sneads's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Vernon Yellowjackets. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won nine in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 23-25, 25-16, 25-11.

Sneads had a senior duo take command as LaRay Gibbs had 33 digs and eight aces and Shaleigh Harrell had 14 digs and eight aces. Gibbs has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 29 times she's played.

Sneads was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Sneads' victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Vernon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sneads will head out to challenge Marianna at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vernon, they will take on Laurel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
