Baseball Recap: Holy Spirit Spartans vs. Ocean City Raiders
Holy Spirit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Ocean City Raiders, falling 9-3. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Raiders when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Clark Mollenkopf was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits.
At the plate, Holy Spirit saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bernie Hargadon, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
