Basketball Recap: Timber Creek Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

With a playoff win on the line, Timber Creek rose to the challenge on Monday. They took down the Lake Ridge Eagles 55-40. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 45-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jillian Topping was nothing short of spectacular: she almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine boards. Those 27 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Selah Armstrachan, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

Timber Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Timber Creek has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season. As for Lake Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 17-14.

Looking ahead, Timber Creek will face off against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Timber Creek surely won't give up without a fight. Lake Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
