Volleyball Game Preview: St. George's Dragons vs. Milton Academy Mustangs

The St. George's Dragons will venture away from home to face off against the Milton Academy Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. George's is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

St. George's lost 3-0 to Buckingham Browne & Nichols on Saturday.

While St. George's was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Buckingham Browne & Nichols' winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Milton Academy posted their closest win since October 18, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Austin Prep 3-2.

Milton Academy took Austin Prep into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-7.

Milton Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for St. George's, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

St. George's might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Milton Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
