Softball Recap: Polytechnic Comes Up Short

Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wyatt Chaparrals. If the Parrots were looking for revenge after losing 22-7 to the Chaparrals when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Polytechnic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was F Espinoza, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, Polytechnic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Wyatt, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8-1.

Coming up, Polytechnic will welcome North Side at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wyatt, they will square off against South Hills at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
