Volleyball Recap: Saugerties Comes Up Short

Saugerties was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wallkill Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Saturday.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 13-25, 25-20.

Saugerties' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wallkill, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2-1.

Coming up, Saugerties will head out on the road to take on Roosevelt at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wallkill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Nightingale-Bamford on the 6th.
