Softball Recap: Spotswood Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rockbridge County last Tuesday, Spotswood came back down to earth. The Trailblazers came up short against the Turner Ashby Knights on Thursday, falling 9-1. The Trailblazers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Spotswood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Turner Ashby, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Spotswood will venture away from home to take on Monticello at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trailblazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Turner Ashby, they will host Fort Defiance at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
