Football Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Vista Ridge Wolves 42-7. The Lancers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Liberty didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Leading the way was Mark Domingue and his one interception.

Vista Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Mcfarland, who rushed for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries. Mcfarland's longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Vista Ridge also got a significant boost from Malachi Arnds, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 108 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Liberty and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Vista Ridge, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
