Volleyball Recap: West Orange Find Success

West Orange lost to Payne Tech back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Mountaineers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mountaineers.

While West Orange won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Jeremiah Cadet and Ben Nwadiogu, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Carnegie Pierre and his 24 assists. Elijah Desrosier controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

West Orange's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Payne Tech, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

West Orange does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Payne Tech, they will venture away from home to challenge Orange at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
