Baseball Recap: Moore Catholic Takes a Loss

Moore Catholic came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-2 to the Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mavericks have suffered since May 18, 2025.

Moore Catholic got a good showing from Arion Draga, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Moore Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Ellis, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Moore Catholic's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Archbishop Stepinac, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 5-3.

While Moore Catholic had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
