Basketball Recap: Manchester Regional Takes a Loss

Manchester Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 55-37 fall against the Waldwick Warriors. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Falcons came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Warriors are ranked 276th).

Manchester Regional's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Waldwick, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Manchester Regional will take on Elmwood Park on February 27th. One thing working in Elmwood Park's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for Waldwick, they will challenge Hawthorne on Wednesday.
