Baseball Recap: Kent City Takes a Loss

Kent City lost against Chippewa Hills on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aaron Vanderwest was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Kent City's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Chippewa Hills, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kent City will square off against rival Central Montcalm at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chippewa Hills is set to take on their familiar foe Newaygo at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
