Volleyball Recap: Maci Albritton Key Part of Team Effort in Red Devils Win

Avon Park won the last time they faced Clewiston and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Avon Park was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-8, 25-8.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Avon Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maci Albritton, who had ten kills and three digs. Those ten kills gave Albritton a new career-high. DeeAnna Turner was another key player, getting seven digs.

Avon Park was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

The victory got Avon Park back to even at 7-7. As for Clewiston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Avon Park will venture away from home to take on Haines City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clewiston, they will head out to face off against Gateway Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
