Baseball Game Preview: Crestview Knights vs. Heritage Patriots

The Crestview Knights will head out to challenge the Heritage Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Crestview didn't have quite enough to beat Van Wert and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Heritage waltzed into their contest on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Jets a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Elijah Rauner and Jaxon Feasby did most of the damage at the plate: Rauner went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Feasby went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Feasby a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Garrett Oliver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Adams Central only posted an OBP of .118.

Crestview's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
