The Alvarado Indians will face off against the Eastern Hills Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Alvarado's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Last Thursday, Alvarado humbled Kennedale with a 42-7 victory. Considering the Indians have won nine contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cardea Collier continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 195 yards and a touchdown on only 16 passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Demarcus Belton was another key player, gaining 241 total yards and two touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Alvarado's defense and their eight sacks. D.J. Clampitt was especially locked on to Kennedale's QB and sacked him three times. Clampitt has been hot , having also posted eight or more total tackles the last seven times he's played. Anthony Frias was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles (6.0 for loss).

Alvarado was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 328 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennedale only rushed for 176.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern Hills). They blew past Diamond Hill-Jarvis 64-18 on Thursday. The Highlanders pushed the score to 56-8 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Alvarado pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.6 points. As for Eastern Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
